American Consultants is looking for an APRN or PA for a hospital in Crookston, MN.

APP – ORTHO/SPINE POSITION SUMMARY

Start: Late December or early January

Schedule: Monday–Thursday (occasional Friday)

Hours: 8–9 hours/day

Call: None — No weekends, no nights, no holiday coverage

Setting: Mix of OR + Clinic (spine focus, occasional total joint support)

Position Overview

Facility is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (FNP or PA) with strong orthopedic and spine experience to support two orthopedic surgeons joining the organization. This is a long-term assignment with a consistent Monday–Thursday schedule (could be Tuesday-Friday some weeks)

The APP will split time between:

Spine OR coverage (1–2 days/week)

Clinic (musculoskeletal, spine, and some total joint support)

Procedures are primarily minimally invasive; one surgeon also performs scoliosis cases.

The APP will work closely with:

A Spine Navigator RN

OR surgical tech team

Incoming orthopedic spine surgeon and orthopedic surgeon

Credentialing & Licensing

Minnesota license is preferred, but candidates eligible for MN licensure will be considered.

Facility may support credentialing via proxy depending on qualifications.

Standard verification needed for name-clear, CV review, and vetting before scheduling a Zoom/Teams call.

Assignment Details & Expectations

4-day workweek (Mon–Thurs), occasional Friday if needed

No weekend, holiday, or after-hours responsibilities

Normal workday is 8–9 hours

Typical locums housing includes two preferred hotels in Crookston; some travelers stay in Grand Forks and commute

This is a coverage backfill for a 20-year experienced APP leaving in December
