Description

Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse (Pediatric ED RN)

The Pediatric ED RN provides rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing care to infants, children, and adolescents in a high acuity emergency setting. This is a hospital based role with anticipated start dates of either 1/6 or 1/21.

Responsibilities
• Triage and assess pediatric patients, prioritize care based on acuity, and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Initiate and manage pediatric ED protocols including IV access, medications, fluids, labs, imaging, and respiratory support
• Collaborate with providers and the care team, educate and support families, and document all care accurately in the EMR

Requirements
• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact
• Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric emergency or combined ED pediatric experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
