Position Overview

Auburn Community Hospital is seeking an experienced ICU RN to support their 10-bed critical care unit. Nurses must be confident with high-acuity care, able to manage mechanical ventilation, vasoactive drips, arterial/central lines, and respond to codes. Floating to Med Surg units is required when needed.

A proctored EKG exam will be administered on Day 1 of the contract.

The facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per assignment.

Shift Details

• 12-hour shifts: 7a–7p or 7p–7a
• Minimum 3 nurses scheduled per shift
• RN-to-patient ratio: 1:2
• Rare pediatric cases may occur

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Travel experience required
• Charge experience preferred (may be required)
• Must be able to float to Med Surg
• NIHSS certification + 6 stroke-related CEUs required prior to start

Certifications Required

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS (prior to start)
• Stroke CEUs (6 hours) required prior to start

Equipment & Skills

• Ventilators: Servo (2 units) and LTV ventilators
• Vapotherm high-flow
• V60 BiPAP
• Management of drips, vents, arterial lines, central lines
• Participation in codes
• Allscripts/Paragon EMR
