Description

📍 Position Details

Role: Ultrasonographer/ Ultrasound Technologist
Facility: St. Joseph Healthcare
Location: 360 Broadway, Bangor, ME 04402
Start Date: 1/15/2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days | 8-hour shifts | Varied | Call rotation required
Expected Hours: 40 per week
Note: Travelers living within 50 miles will receive a $10/hr reduced local rate
 

🧰 Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations (General/Ab/OB/Small Parts)
  • Ensure proper patient preparation and positioning for optimal imaging
  • Collaborate with Radiologists for exam review prior to discharge
  • Provide ultrasound guidance for special procedures
  • Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate with Clinical Engineering as needed
  • Verify accurate patient identification and clinical history
  • Manage, label, and send images via PACS
  • Maintain EPIC charting and accurate patient records
  • Perform high-level disinfection of endocavity probes per policy
  • Uphold HIPAA, safety, and infection-control standards

✔ Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of ultrasound experience
  • Active ME state license
  • ARDMS (AB) certification required
  • Knowledge of PACS & EPIC
  • Ability to participate in call rotation
  • Must provide holiday coverage as needed
