Schedule: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00 (Day Shift, 5x8s)

Position Overview

The Medical Oncology RN will work in an outpatient oncology clinic supporting adult haematology/oncology patients in collaboration with physicians. This role includes triage, IV starts, infusion support, and coordination of care in a high-acuity outpatient environment. Float between three Charlotte-area clinics is required.

Required Qualifications

• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years Medical Oncology experience (MANDATORY)
  • Outpatient oncology experience required
  • First-time travellers accepted
  • Can screen with no inpatient experience
• Skills:
  • Medical Oncology clinical skills
  • IV starts & IV management
  • Triage
  • Isolation precautions
  • Phlebotomy
• Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA)
• Charting:
  • Epic EMR
• Other:
  • Must bring own stethoscope

Preferred Qualifications

• Chemotherapy Certification (ONS/ONCC) *
  (Not an infusion-primary role)
• Previous Charge experience (preferred)

Job Duties

• Support outpatient adult oncology, haematology, rheumatology, neurology, and supportive-care populations
• Partner with physicians during patient visits
• Perform IV starts, triage, phlebotomy, and routine outpatient oncology procedures
• Utilize Epic, SBAR, and Pyxis
• Cross-cover multiple outpatient centers as required

Floating Required to any of the following locations as needed:

• Mooresville
• Huntersville
• University

• Shift: Days, 08:00–17:00
• Weekends: None
• Call: None
• Block Scheduling: Not available
• Scheduling: Per clinic needs
• Orientation: 8 hours, non-billable

Rates

• W2:  $20
• Stipend:  $1246
• Weekly Gross: $2046
