Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and adaptable Registered Nurses to join the Progressive Care/Cardiovascular Unit. This unit consists of a 15-bed capacity, including three Step-Down ICU beds and twelve telemetry beds. Nurses will provide primary patient care, telemetry monitoring, and support acute medical needs in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver primary nursing care to progressive care and telemetry patients
  • Perform telemetry strip interpretation and continuous cardiac monitoring
  • Conduct fingerstick blood glucose testing
  • Utilize Meditech charting, Pyxis medication systems, BIPAP, and monitoring equipment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of acute hospital experience, with at least 1 year within the past year
  • Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred
  • BLS required
  • ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certification preferred
  • Must obtain Hawaii RN license upon acceptance and have active licensure by assignment start

Additional Details

  • No on-call requirements
  • Holiday coverage required
  • Floating to Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER may be required
  • Dress code: Scrubs
  • Must arrive the Thursday prior to assignment to complete employee health clearance
