Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced PACU RN with strong critical care skills to support a 16-week FMLA/LOA need. This role requires experience caring for high-acuity post-operative patients across all age groups, including pediatrics.

Contract begins 12/29.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift options:
  • 1000–2030
  • 1200–2230
• Some Saturdays required
• 40 hours/week
• Weekend & holiday requirements apply
• No block scheduling offered
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Mondays

Experience Requirements

• 2–5 years PACU experience required
• Must have high-acuity PACU and/or critical care experience
• Must have hands-on experience with:
  • Arterial lines
  • Multiple titratable drips
  • Cardiac monitoring
  • High-acuity adults & pediatrics
• Experience in a large teaching hospital required
• Epic experience within the last 2 years – nonnegotiable
• Infusion specialty preferred but not required
• All work history must include:
  • Bed counts
  • EMR systems
  • Facility type
  • Explanation of gaps >90 days

Certifications Required

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)

Additional Notes

• Public transportation not accessible — personal or rental vehicle required
• Winter driving capability recommended (snow/all-season tires Nov–Apr)
