Teaching Facility: Yes (experience in teaching hospital required)
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced PACU RN with strong critical care skills to support a 16-week FMLA/LOA need. This role requires experience caring for high-acuity post-operative patients across all age groups, including pediatrics.
Contract begins 12/29.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift options:
- 1000–2030
- 1200–2230
- Some Saturdays required
- 40 hours/week
- Weekend & holiday requirements apply
- No block scheduling offered
- Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Mondays
Experience Requirements
- 2–5 years PACU experience required
- Must have high-acuity PACU and/or critical care experience
- Must have hands-on experience with:
- Arterial lines
- Multiple titratable drips
- Cardiac monitoring
- High-acuity adults & pediatrics
- Experience in a large teaching hospital required
- Epic experience within the last 2 years – nonnegotiable
- Infusion specialty preferred but not required
- All work history must include:
- Bed counts
- EMR systems
- Facility type
- Explanation of gaps >90 days
Certifications Required
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
Additional Notes
- Public transportation not accessible — personal or rental vehicle required
- Winter driving capability recommended (snow/all-season tires Nov–Apr)
- COVID & Flu: Declinations accepted with documentation
- Start date required: 12/29
