Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Labor and Delivery RN)

48 HOUR CONTRACT

The Labor and Delivery RN provides comprehensive care to laboring, birthing, and immediate postpartum patients in a fast paced maternal newborn setting. This role supports safe deliveries, fetal and maternal monitoring, and family centered care.

Responsibilities
• Perform maternal and fetal assessments, including triage and continuous monitoring during labor
• Assist with vaginal births and cesarean births, administer medications, and support pain management
• Provide immediate postpartum and newborn care, patient and family education, and document all care accurately in the electronic medical record

Requirements
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or compact
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
