Interventional Technologist – Cath Lab (Travel Contract)
Location: Dearborn, MI
Shift: Days, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: Variable weekends, On-call required
Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Job Description
Seeking experienced Interventional Technologists for Cath Lab travel assignments. The technologist will assist physicians during cardiac and vascular procedures, monitor patients, operate procedural equipment, and provide high-quality patient-centered care.
This role requires strong scrubbing experience, the ability to work in fast-paced procedural environments, and participation in an equitable on-call rotation covering nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure support for cardiac and vascular cases.
- Scrub and assist physicians using sterile technique.
- Monitor hemodynamics and record waveforms and calculations.
- Operate and troubleshoot procedural equipment (IVUS, FFR, OCT, ICE, EKOS – as required).
- Start IVs, prep patients, and manage vascular access sites.
- Perform equipment QA and skills validations.
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards.
- Document procedures accurately in real time.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and team members.
Additional modality requirements based on lab:
- Cath Lab: IVUS, FFR, OCT, ICE, EKOS
- EP Lab: ICE, device implants, circulating in all cases
- IR: Ability to assist in 3D imaging, vascular & cerebral procedures
Requirements
Education
One of the following:
- Associate degree or equivalent in cardiovascular technology/basic science
- Accredited radiography program (JRCERT) – required for Interventional Radiology
- Cardiovascular Technologist program – required for Cath/EP
Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in EP, Cath Lab, or IR (required)
- Clinical experience gained through formal program completion
Certifications
- ARRT: (R) required for IR & some Cath Lab roles
- RCIS or RCES – accepted for Cath Lab / EP
- VI – accepted for IR
- BLS & ACLS (AHA) – required
- Must meet all state board requirements
Schedule & On-Call
- Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (10 hours)
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- On-Call: Yes – nights, weekends, and holidays; shared evenly among staff
