Description
Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist to support our client’s medical facility based in Southfield, MI 48075. This is a 6 -month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity, and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist
Duration: 6 months (possible contract-to-hire)
Location: Southfield, MI 48075
Pay Rate: $30-$35 per hour
Schedule: 3rd/10:30 pm-7:00 am, other weekend
Required Certification:** ASCP or AMT
Blood Bank experience required for this position. It will be a blood bank only role. Temp to Perm option.

#### **What You’ll Do**
* Perform lab tests on specimens and report accurate results.
* Maintain records, quality control, and compliance with safety guidelines (CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA).
* Analyze, review, and release test results while following lab procedures.
* Identify and correct issues with testing, reporting, or equipment.
* Participate in training, inspections, and lab meetings.
* Support the overall lab environment, including reagent tracking and maintaining cleanliness.
#### **Requirements**
* BS in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or related lab science (Associates degree also accepted).
* 5–7 years clinical experience preferred (minimum 1 year for Chemistry/Biology grads).
* National certification (ASCP/AMT) and relevant state licensure if required.
* Strong computer skills, ability to multitask, good customer service, and attention to confidentiality.
