Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cardiology Registered Nurse for a full-time outpatient clinic assignment. This role involves providing direct patient support in a cardiology office setting, including rooming patients, triaging calls, processing prescription refills, and handling prior authorizations for procedures and medications. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Room and prepare patients for cardiology appointments.
- Triage patient phone calls and communicate clinical concerns to providers.
- Process prescription refills and ensure timely medication management.
- Complete and submit prior authorizations for medications, tests, and procedures.
- Assist providers with coordinating patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold compliance standards.
- Support smooth clinic operations and collaborate with physicians and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (compact license accepted).
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Previous cardiology or outpatient clinic experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and clinical assessment skills.
