Assignment Overview:
We are seeking a Licensed Radiology Technologist with experience in both the Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology to join our team for a 13-week contract. This role requires technical proficiency in scrubbing and monitoring complex procedures, as well as commitment to a mandatory rotating call schedule.

Schedule and Compensation
- Shift Pattern: 5 x 8-hour shifts (Days)
- Shift Times: Primarily 07:00 AM – 03:30 PM, though flexibility between 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM is expected.
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
- Regular Bill Rate: $120.00 per hour
Mandatory On-Call Requirements
- On-Call: Required and Rotating
- Frequency: 2 days per week and 1 full weekend per month.
Core Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), the Technologist will be responsible for providing technical support for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular and interventional lab.
- Procedural Support: Assist the physician by either scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data as related to the procedures (Interventional and Cath Lab Radiology).
- Room Management: Ensure the procedure room is adequately prepared with all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies before the start of cases.
- Inventory Control: Monitor par levels of all instruments and supplies to ensure efficient operation.
- Training & Quality: Participate in departmental staff meetings, performance improvement activities, and the training of new staff members.
- Comprehensive Assistance: Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
Required Qualifications & Certifications:
- Experience Required: Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Licensed Radiology Technologist with Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology experience.
- Licensure: ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography) and licensed as required by the State of Illinois.
- Advanced Certification Note: An advanced cardiac/vascular interventional certification (e.g., ARRT-VI) is not required for submission, but relevant experience is necessary.
- Required Certifications (MANDATORY):
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support - AHA) required upon hire and must maintain current status.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within 30 days of hire.
- Skills: Proficient computer skills for monitoring and documentation.
- Preferred Experience: Previous experience in an Interventional Radiology department is preferred.
