Cardiovascular (CVL) Tech – 13-Week Travel Assignment
Location: Rio Rancho, NM
Start Date: 01/12/2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10s — 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 40
Weekly Gross Pay: $3,486
Position Overview
A skilled Cardiovascular (CVL) Technologist is needed to support a high-acuity cardiac service line. This role includes assisting with a variety of cardiac procedures, ensuring high-quality documentation, and maintaining a safe, compliant procedural environment.
This position also requires occasional floating to nearby locations within a 20-mile radius.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with adult cardiac catheterization, cardiac devices, electrophysiology, and/or structural heart procedures
- Perform scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording duties
- Maintain complete and accurate patient documentation and procedural logs
- Ensure proper medication handling and case-related reporting
- Support room turnover, equipment maintenance, and inventory management
- Provide emergent care when needed and uphold safety protocols
- Maintain procedure rooms according to local, state, and federal regulations
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of adult Cath Lab experience (diagnostic & interventional)
- Ability to scrub, circulate, monitor, and record during procedures
- Must have completed at least one prior 13-week travel assignment
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; strong teamwork required
Preferred Skills & Experience
- 3 years Cath Lab, Interventional, or EP experience preferred
Education Requirements
Required (one of the following):
- Associate Degree in Invasive Cardiovascular, Cardiopulmonary Technology, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Paramedic, or Surgical Technology
OR - 4 years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree
Certifications Required
- RCIS or RCES
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS (only required for specific downtown locations; not required for this assignment unless stated)
