Job Description: RN – MICU (Med City Dallas) Location: Dallas, TX Unit: MICU (650) Classification: RN – ICU Assignment Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Shift Type: Rapid Response / 48-Hour Guarantee Call Requirements: None Weekend: Rotating Shift Details Shift/Workdays: Standard ICU shifts (details to be confirmed) Special Scheduling: None required (No RTO or special scheduling) Required Certifications BLS (AHA only) ACLS (AHA only) Active RN license in TX (temporary licenses not accepted) Preferred Certifications: CCRN Required Experience 2+ years MICU/MSICU experience Experience with ICU equipment and procedures Familiarity with Meditech is preferred Unit Specifics Staffing: Assignments based on patient acuity and nurse skill set Equipment: Ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, GE Cardiac Output monitor, and other ICU equipment Documentation System: Meditech Floating Policy: As needed Typical Procedures Central line placements Thoracentesis Dialysis catheter placements Cardioversions Intubations Other ICU bedside procedures Patient Population Medical ICU / MSICU patients Dress Code Scrubs: Royal blue (RN) Nails: Clean and healthy; no artificial nails, gel, next-gen, etc. Hair: Neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors. Shoulder-length or longer must be tied back in labs. Beards/mustaches/sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed. Tattoos: Covered whenever possible; exceptions handled individually Piercings: Only ears visible; all other piercings prohibited Other: Professional appearance required Unit Guidelines / Policies Floating Guidelines: As needed based on unit demand Attendance Policies: Company-wide attendance policy will be followed Preferred Skills / Advanced Skills Meditech experience preferred CCRN certification preferred ICU procedural experience
