Description

Position: Labor and Delivery RN

Experience Requirements
• 2 years of experience preferred (will review candidates with less)

Special Procedures
• Blood and blood product administration
• Cardioversion / defibrillation
• Cooling / warming blanket use
• Drains and wound vac
• Epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps
• Heparin, insulin, magnesium sulfate administration

Special Equipment / Duties
• Attends all deliveries and high-risk deliveries
• GYN surgeries
• Couplet care
• Low-risk antepartum
• Transition nursery

Staffing Ratio
• Typically 1:1 to 1:3

Floating
• Yes, may float to Postpartum or NICU depending on skill set

Certifications
• BLS – Required
• AWHONN Intermediate – Required
• FHM – Required
• NRP – Required
• ACLS – Preferred*

Charting System
• Epic (Required)
