Job Title: Travel RN – Emergency Room (11A–11P) Facility: Memorial Hospital of Martinsville Location: Martinsville, VA Shift: Day/Evening, 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM Contract Length: 13 weeksOverview: Memorial Hospital of Martinsville is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Room team. The RN will provide high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced environment, supporting patients with urgent and emergent needs. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Deliver direct nursing care to patients presenting with emergency conditions.</li><li>Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient care based on acuity.</li><li>Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.</li><li>Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition.</li><li>Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals to coordinate care.</li><li>Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.</li><li>Document all care accurately in the EMR system.</li><li>Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Current RN license (Virginia or compact state).</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience preferred.</li><li>Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (PALS and TNCC preferred).</li><li>Strong critical thinking and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to thrive in a high‑volume, fast‑paced ER environment.</li></ul>Assignment Details:<ul><li>Travel contract position</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Shift: 11A–11P, 12‑hour shifts</li></ul>
