Job Description: RN – ICU (Travel Contract)

Unit Description / Patient Population

The ICU manages a wide range of complex and critical conditions, including:

TAVR, CABG, CVA
Respiratory distress, hypoxic respiratory failure
TNK, STEMI, CHF, HF
GIB, DKA, sepsis
Fem-pop, CEA, thoracotomy
Pneumonia
Ventilator management, HFNC
TTM
IABP, Impella
CRRT

Job Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients.
Monitor, assess, and respond to complex patient conditions.
Utilize advanced ICU equipment such as Impella, CRRT, IABP, ventilators, TTM devices, and more.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Epic EMR.
Maintain compliance with Ascension policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines.

Required Experience

Minimum Experience: 2 years recent ICU experience
Prior travel experience preferred but not required
Strong competency with advanced critical care interventions

Certifications Required

BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
NIHSS Certification
