Job Description
Seeking an experienced Pediatric Dietitian to join the Nutrition Therapy team for a 13-week travel assignment. The Dietitian will provide medical nutrition therapy to pediatric patients across various care settings within the hospital. This role includes conducting nutritional assessments, developing individualized nutrition care plans, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary care teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Dietitian passionate about pediatric care within a leading children’s hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for pediatric patients.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and adjustments to nutrition interventions based on patient progress.
- Document all assessments, recommendations, and follow-up in accordance with hospital standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, speech therapy, and other clinical staff to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on nutrition needs and diet modifications.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds as required.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required.
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in acute-care or hospital-based setting preferred.
- Ability to manage a pediatric patient caseload independently.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Schedule & Work Expectations
- Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- No block scheduling
- Float, call, weekend work: Not specified (confirm with facility if needed)
- Orientation hours provided and fully billable.
