Description
Physician Assistant (PA)
Location: William Street (NYC) with floating to Jersey City, NJ
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (1-hour unpaid meal break)
Holidays: Off on Port Authority holidays
Compensation: $63–$65/hour (all-inclusive)
Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide occupational medicine services for Port Authority. This role includes evaluations, physicals, and federally mandated exams. Candidates must be comfortable floating between New York and New Jersey locations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Injury-on-duty evaluations
- Fitness-for-duty assessments
- Annual physical examinations
- DOT & non-DOT pre-placement / promotional physicals
- OSHA and federally mandated exams
Requirements
- Experience: 9 months–1 year minimum clinical experience
- NPs must have Mental Health experience
- Licensure: Valid PA or NP license for NY and/or NJ (as applicable)
- RN license (NY/NJ) if applicable
- Occupational Medicine: Minimum 1 year experience preferred
- DEA License: Active and required
- NPI Number: Required
- Board Certification: PA/NP board certification (copy required)
- Malpractice Insurance: Must carry own coverage
- Background Checks: Sex Offender Search clearance required
Work Environment
- Clinical setting serving Port Authority
- Must be able to work onsite at William Street (NYC) and float to Jersey City, NJ
