Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN to support a high-acuity cardiac surgical program. This position requires strong circulating and/or scrubbing experience in CVOR cases and the ability to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Call rotation is required, and nurses must be comfortable responding to urgent/emergent cardiac cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide intraoperative nursing care for cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
• Circulate and support the surgical team during complex cardiac surgeries
• Participate in required call rotation (7–10 call shifts per month)
• Assist with patient preparation and postoperative handoff
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, perfusionists, and OR staff
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and aseptic techniques

Required Experience

• Must have CVOR experience (required)
• Proven ability to work independently in a cardiac OR setting
• Strong knowledge of cardiac surgical instruments, equipment, and workflows

Certifications Required

• BLS (AHA)
• Additional facility-required credentials will be verified during onboarding
