Operating Room RN – 10-Hour Days | Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH)

Shift: 10-hour days, 06:30–17:45, rotating day off
Call: Approximately every 4th weekend (Saturday 7a – Monday 7a)
Contract: 72 hours biweekly guaranteed
Floating: None
Setting: Small community hospital

Position Overview

BILH is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN capable of practicing across all service lines in a small community hospital environment. The OR handles a broad mix of routine surgical procedures ("bread and butter"), and nurses must be comfortable working independently and managing multiple case types.

This role requires strong adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to provide safe, professional nursing care throughout the perioperative process.

Surgical Services Covered

• General Surgery
• GYN
• GU
• Orthopedics
• ENT
• Vascular
  No complex surgical cases required.

Responsibilities

• Provide intraoperative nursing care across all assigned service lines
• Coordinate care planning with anesthesia, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to surgical safety protocols
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation
• Support patient safety and quality standards
• Participate in required call rotation

Required Experience & Skills

• Strong OR experience across multiple service lines
• Competency and comfort working in smaller community hospital settings
• Ability to independently manage routine “bread and butter” surgical cases

Certifications Required

• BLS (AHA)

• BILH coversheet required at submission
• All RTO must be submitted up front
