Description

Strict 75 mile radius rule

 Looking for a CVICU RN that is comfortable with fresh open hearts.

 Experience with fresh open hearts should be within the past 12 months.

 Requires knowledge of balloon pumps and CRRT. 

Must be willing to work in the other ICU(SCIU, CCU, ICU) units when census in CVICU is low.

 Here is the info on the other ICU units: BLS, ACLS, ASLS OR NIHSS. 

2 years of experience required in specialty, no first time travelers 1 to 2 depends on acuity; open heart 1 to 1 travelers do not need to have open heart experience and will only take if experience 

Meditech Run a charge nurse in each unit, try to keep them out of the staffing grid Use techs for ADLs, fingersticks, I/O Every other weekend Must be flexible and work in with core staff forest green or white pants and white top Monitors in each room, station also at nurses station as well Standard ICU drips Draeger vents Intensivist and NP on each unit during day; nights NP in house and intensivist on call PICC team yes yes 645a, 645p float within their pod or to 4AB stepdown unit. May float to ED to task 2 shifts Sepsis, DKA, PN, ARDS, MODS, CV surgeries, post vascular procedures, CRRT (do not need experience in CRRT), IABP (do not need experience) 

Must have strong ICU skills, strong assessment skills, this is high acuity ICU, must be well rounded and have medical, surgical and some cardiac experience, do not need to be able to take fresh hearts, will have to present patient at interdisciplinary rounds No self scheduling, no block scheduling; nurses will be assigned to one unit as their primary unit but will float to the others as they run as a pod
