Title: GynOnc Clinic RN 

Duration: 3-month contract to hire. 

Location: Primary location in Katy and will float to Memorial City on Thursdays. 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

Required Skills & Experience:

• Active, unencumbered Texas/compact RN license.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least 2 years of either OB/GYN or Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• Experience with procedures such as pap smears, colposcopies, biopsies, etc. 

Plusses: 

• Surgical experience is highly preferred.
• Outpatient experience.
• GynOnc experience. 

Job Description:

An oncology clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to work alongside a gynecological oncologist primarily at their Katy location, floating to Memorial City once per week (Thursdays). This person will be responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, evaluating and promoting the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.  

• Assessing health statuses by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
• Assessing patient/family needs and providing teaching and other instructional material.   
• Facilitating clinical operations and patient care
• Managing patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and recording the information in the patient chart.
• Facilitating and scheduling consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments for patients.
• Triaging patient phone calls as needed and documenting relevant information in the patient's chart.
• As necessary, facilitating communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinating services related to patient care.
• Acting as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
