Description
Responsibilities
• Provide professional nursing care based on established standards and clinical judgment
• Assist providers with patient care, examinations, treatments, and education
• Coordinate patient care with patients, families, and caregivers as part of the healthcare team
• Perform diagnostic and treatment procedures as directed
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Identify safety hazards and follow precautionary practices
• Maintain accurate understanding of medical terminology and office procedures
• Communicate clearly with providers, staff, and patients
• Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Identify issues, prioritize tasks, and make confident clinical decisions
• Utilize required equipment for examination and treatment
• May work irregular hours or travel to other office locations
• Maintain a safe environment despite exposure to bodily fluids, medications, and communicable diseases
Requirements
Experience
• One year of nursing experience preferred
• Ability to manage patient care in a fast-paced clinic environment
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding (basic level)
• Familiarity with safety hazards, medications, and patient education
Licenses/Certifications
• Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license
• BLS (American Heart Association)
Education
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
