Travel RN Opportunity - North Carolina (Wilson)

Position Details

• Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L/D), OB/GYN with simple Med/Surg overflow
• Employment Type: Travel
• Location: Wilson, NC (45 miles east of Raleigh)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift:

  • L/D: 7pm - 7am (night shift)
  • OB: 7am - 7pm (day shift)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Rotating every other weekend
• Call Requirements: Minimal

Unit Profile

• Unit: 2nd floor, L/D and Postpartum (PP)/Med-Surg overflow
• Beds:

  • L/D: 6 + 1 triage/rooming
  • PP: 12 beds
• Patient Ratios:

  • L/D: per AWHONN standards
  • PP: max 6:1, usually 3-4:1
• Patient Population: OB, PP, GYN, Med/Surg overflow (hips, knees)
• EHR/Equipment: GE Centricity, Meditech (Meditech experience preferred)

Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery nursing
• Certifications:

  • BLS
  • L/D fetal monitoring class (within last 2 years)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • ACLS
• Float Requirements:

  • L/D: only to sit or task for low census
  • PP: rotates for low census
• Preferred Skills: Circulating in OR for L/D cases
• Personality Fit: Team player
• Education: RN prepared
