Job Title: Travel RN – Behavioral Health (7A–7P) Facility: Danville Regional Medical Center Location: Danville, VA Shift: Day, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Contract Length: 13 weeks

Overview: Danville Regional Medical Center is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse to join the Behavioral Health unit. The RN will provide comprehensive care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health needs, supporting treatment plans and fostering a safe, therapeutic environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients in the Behavioral Health unit.
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Facilitate patient and family education on treatment goals and discharge planning.
• Document patient progress accurately in the EMR system.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license (Virginia or compact state).
• Minimum of 2+ years of recent Behavioral Health or Psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• Required certifications: BLS (ACLS preferred).
• Strong communication, crisis intervention, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a behavioral health environment.

• Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7A–7P, 12‑hour day shifts
