There are system classes required for orientation, 2-2 1/2, days plus lab specific orientation, length varies on experience It would be rare to be called from Mercy to Lakeside Hospital while on call for the purposes of a stat exam. The call team covers those three campuses after hours and weekends. They would most likely be home (or at least off campus) when they receive emergent calls. Ideally they would live centrally located between the three campuses. We understand that will be very difficult. We do expect they are within the 30 min response time of their "home" campus and understand it may be slightly longer for the other campuses. As far as how often? It varies. In the last 30 days or so there were 8 call backs for that team. It's possible to be on most of those or none of those cases depending on if you were on at that time.
