Job Description

***Mixed unit PCU, Med Surg Tele and Med Surg travelers will have all levels
Position / Specialty: Observation ? Observation Unit
Ratios: 1:4 all shifts
Years of experience REQ: 2 years - Must be familiar with intermediate medication gtts (ie: heparin, nitro, cardizem, insulin, etc)
Charge Experience Required
First-timers accepted: (Y/N) Yes
Weekend REQ: Yes ? every other
Certs REQ: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH
Is on-call REQ? (Y/N) What is the req?
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes - Floating within service line, floating between Toledo, Flower, Bay Park, & Wildwood facilities as needed.
FLOAT UNITS: Neuro/ Stroke, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Trauma, Oncology, General Surg, Uro/Vascular, Observation
Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N): No
Locals accepted: (Y/N) What is the local radius rule? No local travelers 50 miles or less
Pending License accepted: (Y/N): No
RTO Restrictions: Greater than 7 days will require Management approval
Special Requirements:
-Patient Age Group: Adults and Geriatrics
- Patient Diagnoses
? Chest pain, Abdominal pain, Atrial Fibrillation, TIA, Anemia/GI Bleed, Dehydration/AKI, Syncope, Vertigo, COPD, Asthma, UTI/Pyelonephritis, Headache/Migraine, CHF, Seizure, Carbon Monoxide Poisoning, Pancreatitis, Cellulitis,
? Post-outpatient surgery complications, etc.
- Special Procedures/Unit Details
? Around 2/3 of our patients are currently managed under our EDOBS providers located within the department from 7a - 7p and reachable via phone call to the ED from 7p - 7a. Fast pace department with a length of stay goal of 18 - 24 hours.
