📝 Core Requirements & Experience

  • Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years (24 months) of recent, hands-on experience as an RN in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or similar Critical Care setting.
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Current and from the American Heart Association (AHA).
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - Current and from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Job Description Detail: ICU RN – Nights – Start ASAP 6:45p-7:15a; 36 hours/week; 3-12 hour shifts; Every Other Weekend required. 2+ years experience required ACLS & BLS (both AHA) currently held ASAP Start 13 weeks.

🎯 Responsibilities

The ICU RN Traveler is expected to provide high-quality, specialized nursing care to critically ill adult patients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in the intensive care setting.
  • Managing complex medical equipment, including mechanical ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring devices, and infusion pumps.
  • Administering and titrating continuous vasoactive, sedative, and paralytic medications as ordered.
  • Responding swiftly and effectively to changes in patient condition and participating in code response (Code Blue/Rapid Response Team).
  • Thorough and accurate documentation of all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Collaborating with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Providing clear and compassionate education and support to patients and their families.

👤 Qualifications

  • Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage a critical care patient load during night shifts.
  • Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to commit to the full 13-week assignment and adhere to the scheduled 36 hours/week, night shift rotation, including the every-other-weekend requirement.
