Description
- Provide high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and life-support interventions.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, interpret hemodynamic data, and closely monitor vital signs and patient responses.
- Administer complex medications, IV drips, blood products, and titrate vasoactive infusions per physician orders.
- Operate and manage advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
- Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition, medical emergencies, and code situations.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record - Meditech.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans while providing emotional support in critical care settings.
Type of equipment: all ICU equipment-ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, GE Cardiac, Output monitor
Documentation system: Meditech
Must have BLS, ACLS - AHA
Must have 2+ years of experience in MICU/MSICU.
