Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Long Term Care
Location: Rolla, MO
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days | 8-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 35 hrs/week
Weekends: None
On-Call: None
Dress Code: Scrubs
Job Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide therapy services in a Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility (LTC/SNF) setting. Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of swallowing, cognitive, and communication disorders, with a focus on reducing aspiration risk and improving residents’ quality of life.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and implement treatment plans for:
- Dysphagia/swallowing disorders
- Cognitive-communication impairments
- Speech and language deficits
- Perform evaluations and ongoing assessments
- Document care per state and federal LTC regulations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Ensure compliance with facility and CMS guidelines
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- 1+ year SLP experience – REQUIRED
- LTC or SNF experience – REQUIRED
- Missouri SLP License – REQUIRED (Compact accepted)
- CCC-SLP – REQUIRED
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of skilled nursing and long-term care regulations
- 1 professional reference accepted at submission
