🏥 Role and Unit Description

The Registered Nurse will work on the 3B TELE MED SURG unit, a critical area of the hospital providing specialized care.

Unit Details:

  • Capacity: 32 beds
  • Patient Population: Medical, Surgical, Telemetry, and Stroke patients.
  • Staffing: Composed of Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), and Nursing Assistants (NA).
  • Care Model: Utilizes team nursing at times, requiring strong collaboration and communication skills.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, direct patient care to patients with complex medical and post-surgical needs.
  • Perform continuous monitoring and interpretation of telemetry strips.
  • Manage the specific care requirements for stroke patients, adhering to established protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with all members of the care team to ensure coordinated patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes.
