Description

Departments: Total Joints, spine, Transplants (kidney/Liver), Robotics, Vascular, ENT, Plastics

  • Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and operating rooms prior to procedures.
  • Set up surgical trays and ensure all necessary supplies and instruments are available.
  • Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sponges, and other sterile supplies.
  • Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols.
  • Handle specimens properly and ensure accurate labeling and documentation.
  • Count surgical instruments and materials before and after procedures to prevent retained items.
  • Assist in applying dressings and transferring patients to recovery areas post-surgery.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to ensure smooth surgical workflow.
  • Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or shortages to appropriate personnel.
Must have NBSTSA and State Licensure in CO. Must have experience with DORA Must have CAPS registration/recognition Must have 3+ years of experience as a CST
