Description

Position Details:

  • Role: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Facility: MedStar Washington Hospital Center
  • Location: 110 Irving St NW, Washington, DC 20010
  • Start Date: January 20, 2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shifts: Day or Night 4x12s (block schedules available)
  • Weekend: Every other weekend; holidays as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience (Adult ICU, ER, Trauma required)
  • DC RRT license (CRT or RRT accepted; RRT preferred)
  • BLS required (ACLS preferred)
  • Ventilator experience (Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Servo I, Evita XL preferred)
  • Cerner charting experience preferred
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

This is a large teaching hospital with strong critical care exposure and accepts first-time travelers (screening required).
