Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Unit Director and with shift oversight from the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with state nursing regulations and organizational policies. This role supports patients in a Cardiac Progressive Care (CPCU) / Telemetry environment and requires strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills.
Note: Candidates residing within a defined local radius may be subject to a local rate adjustment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to CPCU/telemetry patients
- Perform assessments, administer medications, and monitor cardiac rhythms
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Adhere to patient safety standards, policies, and procedures
- Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling and unit needs
Requirements
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active state RN license (must be current)
- BLS and ACLS (required; must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not current)
- MOAB or CPI preferred but not required
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience
- Telemetry or cardiac nursing experience preferred
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Team-oriented with a flexible and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Schedule & Assignment Details
- Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Orientation: Up to 16 hours (unpaid)
- Holiday Coverage: Required
- EMR System: Epic
