Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Surgical ICU Stepdown RN for a 13-week local contract assignment. The ideal candidate is skilled in caring for high-acuity stepdown patients and comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to surgical ICU stepdown patients
Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient status
Administer medications and IV therapies per protocol
Perform patient assessments and recognize changes in condition
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-surgical care
Accurately document patient care and clinical findings
Respond appropriately to emergency situations and rapid responses

Requirements

Active RN license (state-specific)
Experience with Open heart, Neuro, CRRT experience
Recent Surgical ICU or Stepdown experience
AHA BLS, ACLS
NIHSS CERT
Strong cardiac monitoring and assessment skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

30 Bed SICU-MICU-Neuro EMR: Epic Night Shift/7p-7a/36 hours per week
