Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Day Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team for a 13-week assignment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a 396-bed hospital, providing critical respiratory care across multiple units, including labor and delivery.

• Unit: Respiratory Therapy / Pulmonary Function Test (Inpatient)
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 am – 7:15 pm)
• Schedule: Holiday rotation; every other weekend required
• On-Call: Not required
• Floating: Within scope to all areas of the hospital; no floating to sister facilities
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrubs: Caribbean Blue
• Parking: Free

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years; recent critical care experience required
• Licensure: Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license, in hand at start
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, NBRC (RRT) – all required at start
• Travel Experience: Required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Other: RRT only (no CRT); locals not accepted (must live outside 60-mile radius)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients across inpatient units.
• Perform pulmonary function testing and support critical care interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including labor and delivery.
• Document accurately in Epic charting system.

Additional Information

• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
• RTO: All requested time off must be submitted at time of application; approval based on facility needs.
• Hurricane Season: Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November, peak in August and September).
