• Beds: 24, in addition to: 6 bays, 5 beds - Fastrack
• Experience:
• RN:
• 2 years of ED experience
• First-time traveler: Yes
• Avg patients/day: 120
• Patient Types:
• Neonates-Geriatrics
• 10-12% Pediatrics
• Chest pain, dizziness, syncope, respiratory/cardiac arrest, strokes, sepsis, ortho, respiratory distress/failure, STEMI, COVID
• ED Boarding patients (are counted within their 1:4-5 ratio)
• Patient Ratios:
• RN:
• Days/Nights: 1:4-5 (5th patient will be low acuity)
• Required Certifications:
• RN:
• Required: BLS, NIH, ACLS PALS
• Preferred: TNCC
• Skills required
• RN:
• General ED skills: Strong IV skills, cardiac rhythm interpretation/monitoring, foley placement/management, NGT placement/management, ventilator management (esp. after post arrest), knowledgeable in STEMI/CVA/Sepsis treatments, medication titration
