Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN) – Day Shift

Position Overview

Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week assignment. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-acuity care in a Level III Trauma Center, serving adolescent through geriatric populations in a collaborative environment.

• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (10 beds)
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts (7:00 am – 7:30 pm)
• Schedule: 36-hour guarantee; every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Patient Ratio: 2:1
• Population: Adolescent to geriatric
• Floating: May float to PCU

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of current ICU experience
• Licensure: Active New Hampshire RN license (compact accepted)
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Skills:
  • EPIC charting experience
  • Arterial line management
  • Proficiency with IV drips, ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive medications
  • Charge and preceptor experience a plus
• Other:
  • Traveler must have own vehicle
  • Permanent address must be included in profile
  • All medical/occupational health compliance items must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
  • RTO requests must be submitted at time of application (maximum 5 days)
  • Block scheduling not accommodated

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a 10-bed ICU.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care.
• Float to PCU as needed to support facility operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR.
• Uphold standards of care in a Level III Trauma Center environment.
