Travel Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery) – 13 Week Assignment

Location: Las Vegas, NV 89147 

Unit: Labor and Delivery 

Start Date: January 12, 2026 

Duration: 13 weeks 

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Three 12-hour shifts per week) 

Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule 

On-Call Requirement: None

About the Role

Southern Hills Hospital is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment. This role involves providing comprehensive care to laboring patients, assisting with surgical procedures, and supporting mothers and newborns through the delivery process.

Unit Details

• Beds: 10 + 2 OR suites
• Patient Ratios: 2:1
• Staffing: Core team includes a charge RN, 2 RNs, an OB tech, and a unit secretary
• Documentation Systems: CPN and Meditech
• Floating Policy: To “like units” or task-based assignments
• Dress Code: Provided by unit

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for laboring patients, including monitoring and support throughout delivery.
• Assist with procedures such as C-sections, cerclages, inductions of labor, versions, and baby catch.
• Collaborate with physicians, OB techs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately using CPN and Meditech systems.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active Nevada RN license (must be in hand at submission).
• Resume required at submission.
• Minimum certifications:
  • Intermediate AWHONN
  • BLS (AHA)
  • STABLE
  • ACLS
  • NRP
• Demonstrated ability to manage labor and delivery patient populations.
• Strong clinical skills in obstetric procedures and patient monitoring.
