About the Role

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital is seeking an experienced Cath Lab / Electrophysiology Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. This role involves direct patient care in a fast-paced procedural environment, supporting cardiac and electrophysiology interventions.

Unit Information

• Beds: 2 Cath labs, 1 EP lab
• Staffing Model: RN, RCIS, RT, CVT, department assistant, Clinical Nurse Coordinator, Manager
• Patient Ratios: 1:1; typically 3 staff per room (4 for VT Ablation cases)
• Equipment: GE, ESI
• Documentation Systems: Meditech, MacLab
• Dress Code: Facility-provided scrubs via Scrub Ex

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care during cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient patient outcomes.
• Assist with procedures including:
  • Pacemakers (all types)
  • Ablations (all types)
  • Watchman device implantation
  • Cryoablation
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech and MacLab systems.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and patient safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Florida or compact state).
• Current ACLS certification.
• EKG training required.
• Previous experience in scrubbing electrophysiology procedures in an acute care setting.
• Strong clinical skills in cardiac and EP interventions.

• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM).
• Duration: 13 weeks.
• On-Call Requirements: Included in scheduled shifts.
