Description

Position: RN – Perinatal Services / Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Facility: Adventist Health Twin Cities
Location: 1100 Las Tablas Rd, Templeton, CA 93465
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts, Days, On-Call Required as needed
Weekly Hours: 36

Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and perinatal patients
Perform fetal heart rate monitoring and interpret tracings
Assist with labor management, delivery, and postpartum care
Coordinate care with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesia, and neonatal teams
Delegate and supervise assigned nursing and support staff
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
Adhere to hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience
Active RN license in the state of practice
Basic Life Support (BLS / HS-BLS / RQI-BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS / HS-ACLS / RQI-ACLS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification
Experienced L&D nurses: AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring required on hire and every 2 years
Novice or new-to-L&D nurses: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring during first 6–8 months, followed by Advanced certification every 2 years
