Description
Radiology Manager is responsible for the leadership, project management, financial performance, teamwork, customer service, quality improvement, and communication of the Radiology Department. The overall functioning of this department in the care of patients is within the scope of this position. It is the responsibility of this position to incorporate the mission and vision of the organization into the function of the department
Requirements:
Education or degree required, from an accredited radiology program.
License/certification: ARRT in radiology (plus an additional registry in CT or mammography preferred).
Must have a minimum of 5-7 years in radiology services (CT, mammography).
Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Able to work effectively with other clinical services. Use delegation skills in managing.
Practical knowledge of various computer programs (access to internet, Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook).
Two to three years of manager or supervisor experience required.
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or will be certified within 3 months of hire. Will be added to RQI and complete quarterly courses to be certified in American Heart (BLS) within first 3 months of employment.
General Duties
Establish department goals, policies, procedures and quality improvement programs to insure delivery of quality care for all patients.
Establish basic competencies and develop an educational plan for all staff. Provide education to staff as needed.
Support the work of department members, other department managers, and administration in the care of patients and function of the organization.
Understand that customer satisfaction will result when quality patient care services are delivered. Evaluate services to promote quality care. Recognize needs of other departments and respond to their needs in a respectful timely manner.
Mentor and orient staff including skill development, problem solving, decision making, programs, equipment and regulatory requirements.
Schedule and ensure adequate staffing ratios.
Work occasional weekends/holidays as needed to cover department staffing needs

Hire and terminate personnel as necessary with direction and guidance from the Chief Quality Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, and CEO.
Must be able to manage time effectively and complete written documentation as required.
