Required Certifications & Competencies

Candidates must maintain current, valid certifications throughout employment:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – required within 1 year of hire
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) – required within 1 year of hire
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) – required within 1 year of hire
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – must be completed within 6 months of hire
  • Emergency Severity Index (ESI) Level 5 – required within 3 months of hire
  • Patient Sitter Competency Training – required upon hire

     

Qualifications & Skills

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Strong critical-thinking, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts and weekends as required
