Patient Population & Case Types

• Pediatric & Adult Patients
• General Surgery
• Robotic Surgery (DaVinci)
• Neuro: Spines and craniotomies
• Pediatrics: All specialties, trauma, scoliosis, spica casts
• Orthopedics: Total joints, trauma, some sports medicine
• Urology: Complex cases, DaVinci, kidney/prostate, cystos
• Oncology: Oncology center attached to hospital
• ENT
• GYN: All cases including C-sections for accreta
  • Note: L&D handles simple C-sections
• Bariatrics: Robotic or laparoscopic Roux-en-Y, sleeves, gastric bypass

Experience Requirements

• Minimum: 2 years OR RN experience
• Preferred: 1–2 prior travel assignments
• Skillset: Broad experience across multiple service lines
• Candidate Profile: Please list top 2 strongest specialties/areas of experience

Scrubbing

• RN Scrubbing Required: No

Scheduling & Shifts

• Shift Length: 12 hours (typically 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM)
• Overnights: Rare; may be required if night call team is unavailable
• Scheduling Style: Based on departmental needs (no block scheduling)

Call Requirements

• Weeknight Call:
  • Typically 4 hours following scheduled shift
  • May be asked to cover up to a 12-hour night call shift
  • Volunteers first; otherwise 1–2 times per contract depending on needs
• Weekend Call:
  • 12-hour in-house day shift
  • Volunteers first; otherwise once per month
• Holiday Call:
  • 12-hour in-house day shift
  • Volunteers first; otherwise once per month
• Call Response Time: 30 minutes

Floating

• Frequency: Rare
• Locations: Nearby surgery centers, Meridian or Nampa OR
• CVOR: May float if experienced in robotic thoracic cases and needed

Orientation

• Length: Approximately 1 week
  • Includes general hospital and unit-specific orientation
