• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 hours (08:00 AM – 04:30 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: As per contract
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (rotation among 2–3 SLPs)
• Floating: Yes – between units/floors
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Caseload: Approx. 6–8 patients per day (8–10 treated/day)
• EMR: Epic
• Beds: 104
• Scrub Color: Any color
• Parking: Free

Job Responsibilities

• Perform SLP evaluations, assessments, reassessments, and plan-of-care development
• Conduct bedside swallow evaluations and manage dysphagia
• Modify diet orders using International Dysphagia Diet Standards
• Provide patient and family education
• Perform or assist with MBS and FEES studies (preferred)
• Document evaluations and treatments in Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory, Radiology, and Social Services
• Float between assigned units as needed while maintaining quality patient care

Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 1 year Acute Care SLP experience
• License: Active Washington State SLP license (or compact if applicable)
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Required)
  • CCC-SLP (Preferred)
  • FEES, MBSImP, VitalStim (Preferred)
• Skills:
  • Dysphagia management
  • Bedside swallow evaluations
  • Adult neuro conditions (CVA, TBI, encephalopathy)
  • Documentation & billing
• Other:
  • Ability to float within the facility
  • Must submit RTO at time of submission
