Schedule & Expectations

• Minimum every other weekend required
• Schedule may be adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• Must be flexible with scheduling
• No block scheduling permitted for any reason
• Bi-weekly Monday orientations
  • Next available orientation: 1/26

Floating

• Floating required to MICU as needed
• Note: Prior section states “Float Required: No”; ICU float to MICU clarified above

Scrub Policy

• Any solid-color scrubs permitted

Facility & Unit Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience in a large (500+ bed), teaching facility required
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable

Patient Population & Skills (Must Be Noted on Resume)

• Post-cardiac surgery
• Vascular surgery patients
• Trauma Level I surgical patients
• General surgery
• Neurosurgery
• MICU overflow
• Hemodynamic device experience required

Certifications

• Required:
  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – must be completed prior to start
• Preferred:
  • CCRN

Submission & Compliance Requirements

• Complete work history required for submission, including:
  • Facility type
  • Total bed count
  • EMR used
• All employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained
