Description

Pharmacy Technician (Local Contract)

Facility: The Queen’s Medical Center – Manamana
Start Date: January 5, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Day/Evening
Hours: 40 hours guaranteed (5 × 8-hour shifts)
Contract Type: Local candidates only

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $36.00
  • Overtime Rate: $54.00
  • Weekly Gross Pay: $1,440.00

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or acute care setting
  • Level I Trauma experience preferred
  • Active Hawaii State Pharmacy Technician Registration (required)
  • Certificate of completion from one of the following:
    • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), or
    • American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP)–accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program
    • OR at least 3 months of work experience as a Pharmacy Technician (may substitute for education requirement)
  • Current PTCB certification preferred
