Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Detox (Nights):

Location: Willimantic, CT 06226

Contract Duration: 12 Weeks (01/12/2026 – 04/11/2026)

Shift: Night Shift (NOC) | 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Sunday – Thursday

Position Overview:

Rushford Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for our Acute Care Evaluation Detox unit in Willimantic, CT. This 12-week assignment is located at The Ridge Recovery Center, where you will provide critical care to patients undergoing detoxification. This role is ideal for a night-shift professional with a strong background in acute care and a passion for behavioral health or addiction medicine.

Schedule & Compensation:

Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week.
Shift Pattern: 5 x 8-hour shifts (Sunday through Thursday).
On-Call: None required.
Meal Break: 30 minutes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality nursing care within an acute detox setting.
Monitor patient vital signs and manage withdrawal symptoms effectively.
Administer medications and treatments according to facility protocols.
Utilize EPIC electronic health records for accurate documentation and patient tracking.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and effective recovery transitions.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Acute Care nursing experience is required.
Preferred Background: Prior experience in Behavioral Health or Addiction Medicine is strongly preferred.
Systems: Proficiency with EPIC is highly preferred.
Licensure: Must hold an active, unencumbered RN license.
Certifications: Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
