Job Details

• Acute Care RN needed for Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• No call or float requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required (Medical/Surgical/Telemetry)
• First-time travelers are welcome; prior travel experience preferred but not required
• Holiday availability requested

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA preferred
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Special Skills

• Experience in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
• Residency Declaration Form if working on a compact license
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year criminal history check (all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
  • PA Statewide background check (PA Patch search required)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprinting (FBI fingerprinting within 12 months)
  • Pennsylvania Department of Aging fingerprinting if applicable
• State license primary source verification and NURSYS verification (for all RNs)
• Mandatory education acknowledgment prior to start
• Physical exam within 12 months, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• N95 Fit Test within 1 year of start (can be done upon arrival)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD, T-Spot, or Quantiferon Gold acceptable)
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
• Flu vaccination or declination for flu season (October through March)

Additional Requirements

• Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
• Completed employment application/resume
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit
• Performance evaluations if previously worked over 1 year with the agency
• Internal evaluations if previously worked over 2 years with the agency
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance within 12 months, updated annually
